Classic Brunello medium garnet/ruby color. The nose gives off smoke, earth and thyme. The flavors are complex and consist of plumb, toast, blueberry, and vanilla. The fruit is forward but not overdone. The finish is long and tannicand get a little ragged at the end. Overall it’s well put together and might improve even more with additional bottle age. If you are looking for a good introduction into the world of Brunello’s and don’t want to pay north of $50 this might be your wine. This wine needs a little more time in the bottle so be patient.
