Dark purple in color. The nose gives off hints of currant and earthy currant. The flavors are black currant, graphite and very forward tannins that last all the way through the finish. More Bordeaux in style than your classic Washington Merlot. I noticed a good deal of sediment so decant for best results. Good for the price ($12) but drink now.
