2006 Chappellet Cabernet Franc Estate (Napa Valley)

Deep dark purple in color. The nose has a beautiful note of Earl Grey tea on top of plumb aromas. Across the palate the tea and plumb notes hang on adding layers of coconut, spice and smoke. The finish in long with the round tannins hanging on till the end. This balanced and well made Cabernet Franc wine is produced of fruit from the Chappellet Pritchard Hill estate overlooking Lake Hennessey on the eastern side of the Napa Valley. This wine is a blend of 76% Cabernet Franc 13% Cabernet Sauvignon 11% Merlot.
